Armonico Consort has become the fastest-growing arts organisations of its type in the country. Since its debut performance with Emma Kirkby in 2001, Armonico Consort has gained a reputation for presenting innovative programmes in an accessible and entertaining manner.
Our Education outreach programme has been running since 2002 offering a range of first class singing and drama workshops to primary and special needs schools completely free of charge.
The Armonico AC Academy programmes across the country cost over £150,000 each year to run. In a climate where cuts to statutory services are a regular occurrence, our responsibility to maintain the quality of and widen the spread of these programmes is greater than ever. ‘The AC Academy Legacy Appeal’ appeal exists to ensure the continuation of this vital work long into the future.
It is Armonico Consort’s belief that every child in this country is entitled to a free first-class music education, and it is towards this aim that our education outreach programme is working. We do not simply preach about how little children receive in terms of access to music making, we send out some of the country’s finest practitioner's to do something about it.

Since our education work began, over 50,000 children have benefited from our workshops, and we are proud to say that we are now the largest charity in the country providing singing and drama workshops across the UK. We have received critical acclaim from Local Education Authorities, Arts Council England, teachers and pupils - who particularly enjoy the interactive and fun nature of the workshops.
As a charity, we depend upon the generous support, not only of trusts and foundations, but also individuals. We would not be able to provide thousands of opportunities each year without this help.
