We’re working hard on our big creative project of the autumn, a new musical adaptation of the fantasy saga Beowulf. So we were thrilled when Strictly Come Dancing’s newest stars AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt agreed to lead a dance workshop for 15 pupils of St Elizabeth’s Primary School in Coventry.
AJ and Chloe reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 and, this year, became the youngest professional dancers to join the Strictly team.
They were suitably impressed with our talented youngsters. Chloe said how much she’d enjoyed being part of the process: “It’s been a fantastic day working with all the kids on their routines ready for the show. They’re so full of energy and excitement.” And AJ added: “We love all their positive energy, it’s been fantastic to see their choreography and watch them perform. We can’t wait to see how the show goes.”
The young dancers will have the chance to show off their routine at the Coventry performance of Beowulf on 13 October.
