OZ & JAMES’S GREAT CYCLE CHALLENGE
Go on an adventure with television presenter and journalist James May and wine expert and singer Oz Clarke!
As we were about to set off on our annual bike challenge, we had incredible news...have you ever watched the television series Oz & James's Big Wine Adventure?' on BBC2? Television presenter and journalist James May, wants to join Oz Clarke and Armonico Consort’s professional musicians on another bike adventure…and the best part is, they would like to invite YOU to join them!”
Between 15 – 17 October 2024, you will have the chance to spend the day cycling with the team in a small exclusive group, or there is opportunity to join them by other preferred transport (car/motorbike)
Please note there are limited number of places available for this.
The routes start and finish near Warwick each day, and will be around 35 miles (there are 6 – 7 stops a day) and the pace will be around 10 – 12 mph (except on hills where it might be 1mph) so all types of cyclists will be comfortable. Electric bikes are welcome!
Along the way, our musicians, Oz & James, will perform mini-concerts in care homes for those living with dementia, and flash mob performances in pubs and cafés. James, much to the surprise of many, trained as a musician before venturing into cars, and Oz started out on the West End stage, so they too will be singing and playing in the concerts.
TV presenter James May is an ex-choirboy who loves classical music and plays the harpsichord. He is joining forces with Armonico Consort to raise money for our work for those living with dementia and for our outreach and education work.
James will play a number of piano pieces and accompany the professional choir in a one-off chamber concert along the route on Wednesday, 16 October, All Saints' Church, Emscote, Warwick, CV34 5NL . Each day will end at a village pub where Oz will share an exclusive wine from his cellar which would cost a fortune in a top restaurant, and possibly can no longer be bought.

Price: just £380 per day
- You can purchase for 1, 2, or 3 days.
- Paying participants will be visiting pubs and going on a journey with television presenter and journalist, James May, television presenter and wine expert, Oz Clarke, and several of Armonico Consort’s professional musicians.
- Price includes the cost of lunch (drinks must be paid for by participants).
