Composed in the final year of his life, and completed by Süssmayr in the following year, Mozart’’s Requiem is one of the greatest choral works of all time, creating the inspiration for Requiem settings of the great composers for centuries to come.
Whilst the Music for the Royal Fireworks are seen as a different musical generation to the works of Mozart, it was written only 32 years earlier, and the Coronation Anthems 20 years before that, the inspiration of Handel’s style on Mozart’s music is unmistakable.
The pairing of these masterpieces will create an unmissable concert at Malvern Theatres and for the first time will see Armonico Consort perform at the wonderful new concert hall at Warwick School.
Oh… and it will be Armonico’s 21st Birthday too!
