AC Academy

After School Choirs
AC Academy runs after school children’s choirs in Coventry, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick. The choirs are unauditioned and offer the children performance opportunities each school term.
In School Workshops
AC Academy runs a number of in school workshops including Musical in a Day, singing sessions and drama workshops. Through our work in schools we are able to reach many more children and give them the music opportunities that we believe they are entitled to.
Choir Creation
AC Academy’s choir creation project’s main aim is to create a choir in a school and train a teacher at the school at a choir leader. We hope to leave the legacy of a new choir and a trained teacher as the choir leader long after we have left the school. With ongoing support and opportunities, this project is great for schools with little or no music specialism.

"Fun, first class music provision for all children"

"HOPE, HAPPINESS, EXCELLENCE"

AC Academy believes that every child in this country should be entitled to a first class music education regardless of any other factor. What is so fantastic about the AC Academy programmes is that there are no restrictions on who can be a part of what we do and what we want to achieve. AC Academy believes that through the work AC Academy do we offer children HOPE, HAPPINESS and EXCELLENCE alongside developing singing skills. Through our charitable status we appeal for funding to allow as much of what we do for children across the UK as free or as heavily subsidised as possible. Simply the more money we can raise, the more children we can reach! Uniquely, the AC Academy choirs that we not only run, but also create and continually develop, are not auditioned. AC Academy think it is essential that we not only teach good singing skills and progress the musically talented children across our choirs but also reach those for whom music opens doors in other areas. Music not only develops confidence and builds self-esteem; it has also been proven to aid concentration and behaviour. The entire inclusivity of being part of something that is so exciting and important is such a big reason why our children’s choirs are a big success.
