Auction raises over £14K for Encore Appeal

Armonico Consort hosted a fantastic ‘Once in a Lifetime’ auction on the 15th November, raising a huge £14,662 towards our Encore Appeal, which has been funding our core educational and community activities in 2023.

The event was attended by 70 people and was led by Griffin’s Auctioneers and Valuers. They very generously gave their time and expertise to us free of charge in order to support our vital work, which helps tens of thousands of people each year to thrive through singing.

We had some amazing and unique prizes, donated to us by a range of local businesses and some of our own supporters. These included a conducting lesson that ended with the opportunity to conduct our own professional choir, a personal tour of the Jaguar Land Rover Classics Works factory with British industrialist and esteemed Jaguar Chief Executive and Chairman, Sir John Egan, holiday stays in exclusive locations and many more desirable gifts and experiences.

31 lots went under the hammer and each was competitively fought over by our very eager audience, many of whom are high profile and philanthropic dignitaries. A wonderful night was had by all and guests were entertained by our very own AC scholars throughout the evening with a mix of classical and contemporary music.

We would like to thank all our supporters, including sponsors and gift donors, without whom we could not have put on such a spectacular event!

Please read more about our Encore Appeal. The Encore Appeal ends at the end of 2023 and we still have just under £50,000 to raise. So please donate where you can so that we can continue to develop our vital, life-changing work.
